I filled out my Census, did you? Fill out the Census today at MyCensus2020.gov and show that you’ve been counted with a Cook County Census Instagram sticker. Find the stickers by searching “cookcountycensus”.

Post a picture of you with one of the posters below if you can't get sticker. Let everyone know you have been counted. I am waiting to see how many responses will be posted!!!
Counting on Our Community, 60619 & 60620
Gathering Point Community Council & Greater Chatham Alliance held a joint Outreach event today. Richard Wooten Executive Director of Gathering Point Community Council, presented the event. Attendees were given overview of the Census and the importance. Some attendees signed up to help get the word out to the community. People took a pledge to complete the Census.

There are weekly outreach sessions held at Gathering Point, located at 9050 S Ashland, 11 am to 1pm. on Wednesdays The safety Center has sessions on Thursday at 6pm to 8pm, located at 7909 S Champlain. Some part time positions available.

COUNTING ON OUR COMMUNITY!!! EVERYONE COUNTS!!
Gathering Point Community Council President Richard Wooten and Greater Chatham Alliance (GCA) representative Ora Jackson combined together to have an Outreach Event. The two organizations represent the 60619 and 60620 zip codes. These areas are considered HTC (Hard To Count). In 2010 the return rate for households in these zip codes was 60%.

The event was attended by organizations (Communities organized to Win ( COW) and Block Count Club. There were also community members and Pastors. Materials were reviewed and explained. People did sign up to help get the word out about the importance of the 2020 Census. There were laptops available to view the Census website and answer questions.
